The Fulbright U.S. Student Study/Research Award is open to US citizens interested in pursuing postgraduate research for 10 months in Trinidad and Tobago.

Grant Length: 10 months.
The academic calendar begins in September, and most grantees choose to begin in the fall. though some arrive in August— the start date is flexible. The last possible start date is March 31, 2025.
Orientation
As a condition of the grant, all grantees to Trinidad and Tobago are required to participate in the Pre-Departure Orientation that takes place early to mid-June The PDO is organized by IIE and ECA and is held in the U.S. (virtually or in-person).
An In-Country orientation is facilitated upon arrival into the country.
Candidate Profile
Candidates should be open to learning new cultures and adjusting to the challenges that may come with doing research in under-resourced communities and institutions. Candidates should be open to collaborating with the Embassy on community outreach projects to highlight the Fulbright Program while in country.
