About us

Fulbright U.S. Student Program Alumni Ambassadors play a key role in promoting Fulbright opportunities and providing testimonials through conferences, presentations, webinars, articles, podcasts, and special initiatives throughout the United States. They come from a wide variety of states and institutions of higher education, academic fields and professional experiences, and have completed Fulbright exchanges in different world regions. Some were English Teaching Assistants, while others enrolled in graduate studies or conducted independent study, research, or professional projects.
Alumni Ambassadors promote the Fulbright program by sharing firsthand Fulbright experiences and advice to potential applicants, providing information on creating Fulbright projects, and explaining about how they were able to live and work successfully in another country and culture.
The Fulbright Program has selected a special cohort of Alumni Ambassadors in 2026 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, which the U.S. Government is commemorating as "Freedom 250," and to mark the Fulbright Program's 80th anniversary.
If you would like an Alumni Ambassador to present at an in‑person or virtual event, please contact us at fbstudent@iie.org.
