Fulbright Graduate Degree Grants
The Fulbright University of Leeds Award covers the first year of any master's or higher research degree program in any discipline.
The University of Leeds, established in 1904, is one of the largest Universities in the UK, with more than 38,000 students from over 170 different countries. A member of the Russell Group, Leeds is ranked in the top 100 universities in the QS World University Rankings 2022. Leeds is a university with an international and we have been welcoming international students for over 100 years.
Leeds is located equidistant between London and Scotland in an affordable, friendly and cosmopolitan city. We are a campus-based university yet only a 10-minute walk from the city centre. We have everything you would expect from the UK’s third largest and fastest-growing city and we are surrounded by beautiful, accessible countryside. Leeds is also the second largest business centre in the UK after London and one of the most popular student cities in the UK.
We offer a variety of University housing for graduates close to campus and can also assist you in locating private housing if that is preferred.
Grant Length: 10 months.
Master's programs in the UK may last up to one year (and in rare circumstances, 2 years). Unless otherwise stated, funding is provided for the first year of the degree - although the grant period is 10 months, tuition waivers cover the entire first year and student visas are not impacted by grant length.
Stipend amounts are set and do not change based on length of the degree.
