Current U.S. Student

United States citizens who are currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree programs are eligible to apply.If you are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a U.S. college or university, you will apply through that institution, even if you are not currently a resident there. Find the Fulbright Program Adviser on your campus.

U.S. Citizen but not a Student

If you are a U.S. citizen, will hold a bachelor’s degree by the award start date, and do not have a Ph.D. degree, then you are eligible to apply. Non-enrolled applicants should have relatively limited professional experience in the fields (typically 7 years or less) in which they are applying. Candidates with more experience should consider applying for the Fulbright Scholar Program.

Artist

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program welcomes applications in the creative and performing arts. Arts candidates for the U.S. Student Program should have relatively limited professional experience in the fields (typically 7 years or less) in which they are applying. Artists with more experience should consider applying for the Fulbright Scholar Program.

Creative & Performing Arts projects fall under the Study/Research grant category and are available in all countries where Study/Research grants are offered.

FPA

U.S. Professor/Administrator

If you are a U.S. citizen and a professor or administrator at a U.S. institution and are interested in applying for a Fulbright Scholar Award, you will need to apply through fulbrightscholars.org.

Non U.S. Citizens

If you are a non-U.S. citizen interested in applying for a Fulbright Award to the United States, you will need to apply through the Fulbright Commission or U.S. Embassy in your home country. Find out more information on the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program or Fulbright Foreign Student Program.

Campus Committee Evaluation


The Campus Committee Evaluation (CCE) Form is required for all enrolled students. Please consult the Manual for Fulbright Program Advisers for detailed information on the Campus Committee Evaluation process. Please note that the CCE form includes separate forms for English Teaching Assistant applicants and Study/Research applicants.  

The CCE Form must be completed and uploaded into the applicant's online application by the FPA. The deadline for uploading the CCE form is October 10, 2024 at 5pm ET.

Please read before you begin:

  • The Campus Committee Evaluation (CCE) Form is only available as a Word Document. FPAs may download the updated CCE Forms, complete the forms based on the campus interview and save them offline before uploading to the application portal.
    • DO NOT view or fill the form out within the browser. You must download the form in order to fill it out and view it.
  • Only one CCE Form may be completed for each applicant from your institution.
  • After the Campus Committee meeting, the CCE Form must be downloaded and completed offline. Please do not use any form other than the CCE Form provided.
  • Complete each question in the space provided. Please do not attempt to expand or change the space provided for each question.
  • At the bottom of the page, indicate the campus recommendation for the applicant in question 5 (Yes or No responses only). Make sure that the name, position, and college/university of the person completing the form is provided.
  • The form should be completed by the FPA or a person authorized by the FPA. Once the form is completed, it should be returned to the FPA, saved as a Word doc, or PDF, and then uploaded to the online application via the FPA Application Portal.
