The Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering is the oldest and biggest faculty in industrial design in the world. The faculty has three MSc degree programs in Industrial Design Engineering on offer: Design for Interaction (DfI), Strategic Product Design (SPD), and Integrated Product Design (IPD). All MSc degree programs are fully taught in English and take two years of studies to complete. Approximately 30% of MSc students are from countries other than the Netherlands. The faculty has over 2000 students in industrial design alone (BSc + MSc), 200 scientific staff members and 140 PhD’s. Research is carried out in four main areas: Unlocking people, Meaningful interactions, Let’s Re(d)use and Care for our Health.
Two academic years, corresponding with the two-year MSc program. Grants must start on September 1st, 2022.
Grant Length: 24 months.
Applicants must have an excellent academic record, meet the requirements for one of the MSc programs mentioned below, and demonstrate motivation to study at TU Delft. Candidates must be admitted to one of the TU Delft MSc programs mentioned below, either at the time of application or later during the selection process for the Fulbright grant.

Foreign Language Proficiency
Dutch language proficiency is not required, but is useful at the time of arrival. Some study of Dutch prior to arrival is encouraged in order to promote deeper engagement with the host community.
Fulbright Proposal Types
Applicants are required to apply separately to TU Delft by December 1, 2021 independent of their Fulbright application, and if already admitted, to include a letter of admission with the Fulbright application.
The TU Delft, Faculty of Industrial Design Engineering Fulbright Scholarship is a scholarship partly covering tuition fees and living expenses. It is open to applicants for the following MSc programs. These 2-year MSc programs are conducted fully in English and include coursework, a semester for elective courses (internship is an option) and a graduation project.

Within the MSc programs IPD and SPD there is a special variant for students with a constructive engineering background who have a strong affinity with industrial design, called the Master Variant for Engineers. The program takes two years, starts with an intensive homologation semester and does not have a 'free elective'-semester. Graduates will receive a MSc diploma in Integrated Product Design or Strategic Product Design.
Grantees are responsible for finding housing themselves. Delft University of Technology may be able to help with this, but housing is not guaranteed.
Dual citizens of this country are not eligible
Residency in host country not permitted in year prior to grant
U.S. students with both U.S. and Dutch/EU citizenship will not be considered.
