FULBRIGHT FULL GRANTS

Language English, although siSwati may be needed for research conducted in rural areas.

Grant period
10 months. Fulbright grants will begin between August 2010 and March 2011, subject to the approval of the U.S. Embassy in Mbabane.

Affiliation
It is the applicant’s responsibility to secure affiliation with the University of Swaziland, Law Society of Swaziland or an appropriate NGO and for submitting supporting documentation required for affiliation. It is strongly recommended that applicants identify appropriate host institutions for their projects and that they include affiliation letters with their Fulbright applications.

Research Clearance
It is important to seek research clearance with the University of Swaziland (UNISWA) by emailing Mr. Ambrose Gama, Deputy Registrar Corporate Affairs at gama@admin.uniswa.sz The Research Section of UNISWA welcomes a copy of the research paper.

Dependents
The basic amount of the Fulbright grant is increased by US$200 per month for grantees with one accompanying dependent and by US$300 per month for two or more accompanying dependents.
